University College London
ALS has worked for University College London since
1993. During
this time they have undertaken Type 2 and Type 3 Asbestos surveys,
provided full project management during asbestos removal programmes,
undertaken supervision and air monitoring throughout asbestos
removal project and presented asbestos training courses. They
are and have been UCL's preferred consultant since that date.
The standard of service received has been extremely professional
and I have no hesitation in recommending ALS

University of Kent
ALS has been working with the University of Kent
for two years.
In this time they have been appointed as the
University’s
asbestos competent persons and not only provide analytical services,
but also day to day advice on the general management of Asbestos
Containing Materials.
What we have achieved together in the last two years:
- Fully reviewed the UoK asbestos policy and associated guidance
notes
- Developed standards for asbestos removal specifications
- Developed standards for methods of asbestos removal
- Developed details schedules of rates for asbestos removal
works
- Developed, in conjunction with our preferred planning supervisors,
a management system where all contract works identify asbestos
as a hazard and the need for suitable and sufficient inspections.
- Provide full on-site analytical staff to oversee all asbestos
removal activities, this not only includes the legal minimum
but goes further to conduct smoke test, personal monitoring
and background monitoring throughout the removal phase.
Together we have come a long way in quite
a short time. The
support from ALS staff is responsive and gives Estates Technical
staff clear advice when conducting contract works.

Kodak Ltd
ALS was selected by Kodak Ltd in June 2003
to act as Asbestos Consultants for Kodak’s UK Manufacturing
plants. During
this time ALS have worked closely with Kodak, completing asbestos
surveys of our premises and assisting us to implement our Health,
Safety and Environmental training program.
ALS is currently providing training on Asbestos Building Management
and Safe Working for our building managers, supervising engineers
and craft employees.
During our association I have found ALS to be very professional
providing Kodak Ltd with an efficient, effective, quality service.
ALS is Kodak Manufacturing’s preferred HS&E
(asbestos) training provider.

Queen Mary and Westfield College
ALS has been used by Queen Mary and Westfield College
for asbestos survey and asbestos management works since 1993. They
have carried out all of the asbestos related surveys and management
on the Mile End campus since that time without any quality problems
whatsoever. They are currently a preferred specialist supplier
of such surveys. In addition, they have carried out environmental
surveys such as might be used to identify airborne contaminants.
